Join the Office of General Education as we launch our newest program, the Common Curriculum Reading. Students who sign up for the Common Curriculum Reading can obtain one of their Proficiencies and Experiences by reading the semester's book selection and engaging in 8 reading group meetings with their peers and facilitators.

This Fall 2024, students can earn their Civics & Individual Ethics Proficiency and Experience by reading "Artificial Unintelligence" by Meredith Broussard. In this book, Broussard delves into the increasingly popular topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the public’s perception that AI is the solution to all societal issues. However, Broussard presents a compelling argument that there are social and ethical dilemmas that AI cannot (and should not) resolve. The book is not just a captivating read, but also a timely and relevant exploration of our modern world.
