SMU Alumna to Pitch Women’s Health Startup at The Big Pitch

SMU is proud to spotlight alumna Dejanae Parkman who is making an impact in the women’s health space as the founder of Dotted, an innovative health tech startup focused on improving reproductive care.

Dotted is tackling a critical issue: the 7–10 year diagnostic gap that many women face in receiving accurate reproductive health diagnoses. Through technology and data-driven insights, the company aims to accelerate diagnosis timelines and improve health outcomes for women.

On April 29, Dejanae will take the stage at The Big Pitch, hosted at Toyota Music Factory, where she will compete for a $270,000 investment. This opportunity comes on the heels of Dotted being named a Top 5 finalist in the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Social Innovation Accelerator, recognizing the venture’s potential for meaningful community impact.

This event represents not only a major milestone for Dejanae and Dotted, but also an exciting opportunity for the SMU community to support one of its own. Students, alumni, and supporters of entrepreneurship are encouraged to attend and experience a live startup pitch in a high-stakes environment.
