Your brain is powerful, and the way you move can make a big difference in how it works. Dr. Wendy Suzuki, a leading neuroscientist and expert on brain plasticity, is coming to SMU to share how exercise and simple daily habits can boost focus, improve memory, and help manage stress. Her research connects movement with mental well-being, showing how small changes can lead to big benefits.

Dr. Suzuki is the Dean of the College of Arts and Science at NYU and a Professor of Neural Science and Psychology. Her TED Talk on the brain-changing benefits of exercise has over 65 million views, and her work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and The Washington Post. She is also the author of Good Anxiety and Healthy Brain, Happy Life, both of which will be available for purchase before the event, made possible by the SMU Bookstore.

This event is hosted by SMU Exercise is Medicine, a collaboration between the Simmons School of Education’s Department of Applied Physiology and Sports Management, Campus Recreation, the Dr. Bob Smith Health Center, and Wellbeing Education.

Don’t miss this chance to learn how small changes can unlock your brain’s full potential. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. Registration is highly encouraged.
