The Office of Student Advocacy and Support is excited to announce SMU’s inaugural Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (HHAW)!

Recognized nationally at hundreds of colleges and universities, HHAW highlights the realities of food and housing insecurity impacting college students across the country. Throughout the week, we’ll collaborate with campus partners to raise awareness, spark dialogue, and destigmatize the use of community resources like food pantries and shelters.

As part of this initiative, we’re also hosting a food drive competition between campus partners to support The Shop, SMU’s on-campus food pantry serving students in need. The food drive competition will run from 11/17 - 11/21. The winner will be announced the week after Thanksgiving break.

Interested in getting involved or learning more about HHAW? Explore our scheduled events and details on The Shop’s SMU360 page.
