Texas Department of Public Safety Office Trip

Are you needing a Texas Driver's License or ID? Join the International Office for an exclusive appointment and provided transportation to the Texas Department of Public Safety! Initial meeting will be held in Blanton 112 before being trip to DPS Office of North Garland Mega Center.

Before your arrival, please complete and bring the following forms and identification:

- Completed DL-14A application
- Passport, visa, most recent I-94, and I-20
- SSN card, if you have one (if not, you'll sign an affidavit at DPS)
- Payment for the DPS fee
- Two proofs of residency from different sources, such as your lease, renter's insurance, a utility or cell phone bill, or a bank statement dated within 90 days. On-campus students should use their Commons address and room number and print electronic statements.

Driver's License applicants also need:

Impact Texas Driver completion certificate (if taking the driving test)
Ages 18-24: six-hour Driver Education certificate. Age 25+: you'll take a 30-question test at DPS.

Eligibility: You must have lived in Texas for at least 30 days, and you can't have a pending SSN application.
