We are excited to announce that Utah Governor Spencer Cox has been confirmed to address the DFW community the evening of Monday, March 30th at 7 PM at SMU’s Crum Family Boulevard Auditorium!

Governor Cox will provide a talk titled "Civility in Our Public Discourse". Civil discourse is the respectful, constructive exchange of ideas aimed at fostering understanding, even amid deep disagreement, and is essential for effective democratic governance. It requires active listening, intellectual humility, and focusing on evidence rather than personal attacks. Key practices include managing tone, valuing opposing viewpoints, and bridging divides.
