Before diving into the application, let's review the eligibility requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
Student-Led: Your venture must be student-led, student-driven, student-created, and student-managed. We believe in empowering the innovative spirit of SMU students.
Open to All SMU Students: Both graduate (MBA, JD, or any other Masters candidate) and undergraduate entrepreneurs from any SMU department are encouraged to apply. Our program is inclusive and welcomes diverse talents and backgrounds.
Recent Alumni: SMU student alumni who have graduated within the last 10 months from the application date are also eligible to apply.
Limited Equity Capital: Your team and/or business must not have raised more than $250,000 in equity capital before the start of the current academic year (e.g., Aug 1, 2023).
Revenue Threshold: The team and/or business must not have generated more than $100,000 in total revenue before the start of the current academic year (e.g., Aug 1, 2023).
Seeking Funding: Your team and/or business must be actively seeking funding and present a potentially viable investment opportunity within the next year.
